It started out with Snow White and the Huntsman being released in December 2012, then Mirror Mirror was set to be released in June 2012. Now, Snow White and the Huntsman is going to be released at the end of March 2012. Do these time changes impact how well the movie will do at the theater?
According to this article, Deep Impact beat Armageddon to the theaters, but Armageddon actually did better than Impact by over $60 million. In 1997, Volcano reached theaters before Dante's Peak. Volcano made $20 million less than Peak. However, did these films make less because of their storyline or the timing?
