Katy Perry To Release 3D Concert Movie

As mentioned in the post prior, Katy Perry was busy promoting a slew of projects at this weekend's Kids' Choice Awards. In addition to promoting Smurfs 2 and her re-released Teenage Dream album, Perry also announced plans for an upcoming 3D movie showcasing her sold out tour. Set to be released sometime around the July 4th Holiday weekend, Katy Perry: Part Of Me is being helmed by the team behind Justin Bieber's successful 3D concert experience Never Say Never.

This is synergy in its truest form, being that the studio releasing the film (Paramount) is owned by Viacom, which just so happens to own Nickelodeon as well.

The event involves cooperation with Nickelodeon Resorts and other affiliated businesses. This is an interesting example of brand marketing that nobody sees when actually watching the show.
